Hello, my name is Grace Huotari, and I am a Customer Success Specialist here at Steelhead Technologies. One of the things I wanted to demonstrate for you today is our shipping dashboard. This is a major feature of Steelhead that you will get to know and love as you start using our system.
So, let's say that we have a work order going on right now. As you can see, the work order is currently being packaged by one of our employees. Once that is done, they are going to move their parts over into shipping. So, I'm going to move the parts and step them to our cut station for it to be prepared.
Now, if we go ahead to our shipping dashboard, as you can see, here is our work order, and it is ready to ship. So, we need to first go ahead and create a packing slip. Opening it up, I'm going to choose what is going to be shipped by. I did this earlier when creating the received order, but you can change it there if needed. You can also enter a tracking number.
For now, I'm going to leave that blank, along with the date it is shipping, where it's going to, and the "Bill To" along with the customer contact. Here, you can choose the quantity being shipped. So, if you only need to send 10 out at the moment, you can go ahead and change that here. But for now, I think my order is ready to go.
Okay, so it moved on over into the packing slip drafts. We can go ahead and open the packing slip just to get an idea of what it will look like on our customer's end. As you will get to know, we offer custom documents here at Steelhead, so this will be of great use to you.
And then we can also give directions to anybody who is sending this package out here in Steelhead. The last thing I wanted to note is that on here, you can go ahead and scan this code to be able to sign for the package once it's delivered. That is one way that your customers can verify that they received it.
Okay, so here's our packing slip draft. I've looked at it, and I think it's ready to go. I'm going to mark it as finalized and email it to myself or your customer. Go ahead and finalize it, so this is telling my employee, "Hey, it's good to go, let's send it on out today."
So, here we go, it moved on into finalized. Once your employee drops it off at your customer’s, they can go ahead and have them sign for it, whether it's on your employee’s device or if the customer signs it by scanning the QR code. So, here I am submitting my initials, saying "Hey, I received this package," and now it is going to move on to "Packing Slip Signed."
From here, you can verify that it is all good to go. So, we are going to go ahead and complete shipping, and that will move our parts over into invoicing. Along with that, you can also use your shipment manager and your trucking dashboard to help schedule what you're going to be delivering that day, at what times.
As your employees are out, they can go and see what their next active order is to be brought. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at support@gosteelhead.com. Other than that, I hope you learned a little bit about how awesome our feature is.
