With Steelhead's continued effort to incorporate your valuable feedback, this powerful update will consolidate your operations and drive efficiency through outsourcing, purchasing, shipping and receiving, saving you time, simplifying your workflow and boosting productivity.
Your new consolidated dashboard named purchasing brings purchase orders, outsourcing and inventory control together to quickly access everything you need in one convenient location. The first thing you're going to see in this dashboard is purchase orders with an updated look; you have mostly the same workflows and functionality here, with the addition being that you now have the ability to create lines and line items similar to sales orders and quotes in Steelhead. This models complex pricing, accounting, and inventory combinations, giving you more control and specificity. As you add items, any previous information you had filled in for that item will auto-fill for you.
Let's also add another line here. Let's say expedite just one for a hundred dollars. Unit is each and save. Purchase orders are now set up similar to quotes with your files and other information here at the top. Then your BOM items, purchase order lines and bills here like OWS, you can edit what's here with the pencil as well as within the purchase order lines and click the plus button on any line. To add a line item, select your product price and quantity and save. You also have the ability to link to BOM items as needed to help you associate costs to specific items and give you visibility into where each dollar is being spent and same as before. Once your PO is ready, you can move it to the next stage here, back to purchasing.
In the new inventory control tab, you can easily maintain optimal stock levels and prevent stockouts by setting custom reorder points, receiving automatic notifications. When inventory reaches critical levels, you can see critical information here about each inventory item at a glance, including your threshold stock, target, what's on hand and on order. This in draft shows the quantity that is currently in the draft status of a PO. Then you also have the projected stock amount based on previous usage. Clicking on the inventory report button, you can pull up more information about each item. Clicking on the checkbox here, you can see that there are more inventory items that are projected to run out soon, and it's quick and easy to click and create a purchase order.
For any item, you need either select items using the check boxes or click the plus button. Then add the vendor and it pulls in details from the last purchase order created for that inventory item. Change any details necessary and click save.
Now to the outsourcing tab. Here you have a comprehensive view of all your outsourcing activities. The intuitive interface allows you to quickly see the status of each service. You have some filtering options as well, and I'll filter this by awaiting PO. Select an item here and create a PO from it. I'll put in a quantity and a price and save to Active, and that will move these parts over to this list. On the right, you can easily click over to vendor shippers. From here, your shipping person can see the POs awaiting shipper with the checkbox selected, click create Vendor shipper. You can change the quantity if you need to and then save and ship. Or if you save from here, it will move this over to awaiting shipment.
When outsourcing is the final step on a work order, use the new ship and complete option to finish the process without needing to manually receive parts. If needed, you can click mark as shipped, confirm here. Then clicking into the shipped tab, you can toggle parts at vendor to filter the list, and you have the ability here to receive or archive or head over to the new parts at vendor page.
Conveniently located within the receiving dashboard, making it easier than ever for your receiving person to track and manage incoming parts and inventory with an updated look and more intuitive interface. Parts at Vendor has the addition of the receive button on each individual item. Put in your receive quantity here. Then you can receive and step parts with one click, or if you just receive parts, they'll show up here where you have the option of moving or completing one or multiple parts.
Moving on to a major upgrade in the inventory on order tab, you can now receive multiple items simultaneously. You can search or filter the list with these options here. Select any items and click receive. Add the quantity of each item being received, fill in any other details, and then save.
Then one more addition. Within the receivers tab, you have multiple filters and search options to help you filter the list and quickly find anything you're looking for.
This update was designed to drive efficiency throughout all of your workflows. With Steelhead, you're not just managing operations, you're mastering them. Unlike traditional systems that require manual tracking or multiple platforms, Steelhead provides a single intuitive interface and strives to give you the customization that you need.
