Product Collect Sensor Data in Steelhead Automatically with this Sensor Integration
Video title Collect Sensor Data in Steelhead Automatically with this Sensor Integration
Date published May 1, 2026
Duration 1:42
Video type Feature walkthrough / Tutorial
Audience Shops using Super System sensors, integrators, and operators who want live readings in Steelhead without
retyping gauge or tank values by hand
In one sentence This demo shows how Super System sensor live feeds flow into Steelhead through the Integrations
dashboard and Sensor Integrations tab, with a connector app supplying readings you can map on
the Sensors page, capture into tables, push to operator workboards and scanner workboards, and use
in maintenance events—cutting manual entry across those workflows.
What this video covers It opens with the value of live sensor data versus manual entry, then moves from
the Steelhead homepage into Integrations and the Sensor Integrations tab where integrations are listed once
the connector app is running.

You see an existing Super System integration, its sensor list, feed into Steelhead, and the
default one-thousand-millisecond refresh interval that you can change.

On the Sensors page, the walkthrough adds a sensor from the integrated list, optional location,
station, sensor type, and Save—then live rows in the table, ad hoc capture via an
icon or the Measure button, and history in the table below.

The second half shows operators on the workboard capturing instead of typing tank readings, scanner
workboards pulling the same live value, maintenance-event usefulness, and a close on all-in-one capture versus
separate tracking tools.
Problem it solves Typing sensor readings from the floor slows people down, invites errors, and splits attention between
devices and Steelhead. A live integration keeps one current measurement path from the sensor into
tables, boards, and maintenance context.
Key capabilities shown • Integrations dashboard from the Steelhead homepage
• Sensor Integrations tab for setup and listing integrations
• Connector app prerequisite for sensors to connect and stream live measurements
• Super System integration drill-in: all sensors and data feeding Steelhead
• Default data update interval of one thousand milliseconds, configurable
• Sensors page: Add sensor, pick an integrated sensor, optional location, station, sensor type, Save
• Live measurement table; select a sensor
• Capture icon for on-demand readings recorded in the table below
• Measure button as the alternate capture control
• Workboard: click to capture so operators skip manual tank data entry
• Scanner workboards: live measurement pulled in
• Maintenance events called out as another use case
How the demo flows • Hook: Super System shops, live feeds, less manual entry, simpler workflows
• Homepage to Integrations dashboard and Sensor Integrations tab
• Connector app installed and running; anytime live collection
• Open a Super System integration; sensor list and inbound data
• Default millisecond refresh and adjustability
• Sensors page: new sensor, integrated pick, location or station and type, Save
• Table of live readings; capture icon and Measure button
• Operator workboard capture versus manual entry
• Scanner workboards and maintenance events
• Close: profit and efficiency; Steelhead as all-in-one versus manual or multi-platform tracking

Transcript [00:00] For shops that use Super System sensors, this powerful update allows for live feeds to
provide sensor data in Steelhead, eliminating manual data entries, saving you time, and simplifying workflows.

[00:11] [integrations dashboard] Clicking into the Integrations dashboard from your Steelhead homepage, you can open the Sensor Integrations
tab where sensor integrations are set up and listed.

[00:18] With the connector app installed and running, your sensor will connect to Steelhead for live
measurements to be collected anytime.

[00:25] [sensor integration detail] Clicking into this integration that we have set up for Super System sensors, you can
see a list of all sensors and the data they're feeding into Steelhead.

[00:32] These are defaulted to have the data update every thousand milliseconds, but this can be
changed if needed.

[00:38] [sensors page] Now within the Sensors page, you can add a new sensor, select an integrated sensor
from the list.

[00:43] You can use a location if you'd like, or set the station and the sensor
type and Save.

[00:50] Now, within this table, you can see live measurements coming through.

[00:53] Selecting a sensor, you can click this icon to capture a measurement at any time,
and it will be recorded in the table below.

[01:00] You can also do this by clicking the Measure button here.

[01:08] [workboard] Now, when your operator goes into their workboard and is ready to work parts, instead
of having to manually enter the data from this tank, all your operator has to
do is click to capture and the measurement is recorded.

[01:19] If you're using a scanner, the scanner workboards will pull in the live measurement as
well.

[01:23] And this integration is also useful within maintenance events.

[01:26] This update was designed to help you maximize profit and efficiency.

[01:30] Unlike traditional systems that require manual tracking or multiple platforms, Steelhead provides an all-in-one system
capturing data for you at every step.
