In one sentence Steelhead's global search bar lets you find any customer's parts, received orders, work orders, or
racks in a few clicks, so you can answer a customer's "where are my parts"
call immediately instead of walking the shop floor to look.
What this video covers Steelhead's Dinah, Quality Assurance Specialist, introduces the global search bar at the top of Steelhead,
which can search received orders, work orders, part numbers, racks, customers, and more.

She walks through a live example: a customer, Pete's Auto, calls asking where their parts
are. She searches the company name in the global search bar, opens Pete's Auto's customer
record to see all related links, then opens one of the customer's work orders to
verify the parts and see exactly where they are, what location they're in, which steps
are already complete, and which steps remain.
Problem it solves When a customer calls asking for a status update, walking the job shop floor to
physically track down their parts wastes time and keeps the customer waiting. The global search
bar surfaces a customer's related work orders, part locations, and production status in a few
clicks, so front desk and customer service staff can answer immediately.
