[00:15] Thank you to everybody here for attending this month's masterclass.
[00:20] My name is Holly Stover.
[00:22] I'm a deployment leader at Steelhead Technologies, and I'm gonna be covering prioritization during our
half hour together here.
[00:31] First up on the agenda, I'm gonna talk about what the prioritization module is in
Steelhead and how it works.
[00:39] So how to set up your shop priority if it's not already set up, and
how to navigate some of the settings in there.
[00:47] Second, I'm just gonna show you station versus global priority.
[00:50] So there's a difference there and the use for each one.
[00:54] I'm also gonna touch on how jobs are ordered or ranked through dragging and dropping
them, and how that order is visible to the operators through their work boards.
[01:05] I'm also gonna touch on some of the tactics for ordering jobs, such as how
you can search it or filter it through some of things like deadlines or treatments.
[01:14] And then we're gonna leave about 10 minutes of room for questions at the end.
[01:18] And at that point, you can unmute yourself, ask as many questions as you want,
if you have any related to what I'm talking about before that or any during
the talk, please throw any of them in the chat.

[01:43] So the module in Steelhead of prioritization is all about giving you control of the
order of jobs in your shop.
[01:53] So the order in which jobs are to be processed.
[01:56] Once they're ordered through prioritization, your operators can then see that order on their work
boards so they have a clear schedule for the day.
[02:06] Many of you guys might have a daily or weekly meeting about priority jobs already
in your shop, so you'll just be able to add that order into the priority
model.
[02:18] But you probably don't have enough time to talk through the exact order of everything
on your floor.
[02:24] Maybe just the hot stuff, or the stuff you guys gotta pay special attention to,
something like that.
[02:30] But Steelhead prioritization lets you order every job on the floor, so as many as
you want, but up to every job at every part on the floor.
[02:39] So operators aren't just guessing on the order after they finish what they need to
for the day, or stuff like that.
[02:47] Then of course there's the case where maybe the order completely changes halfway through the
day.
[02:52] Maybe a customer calls and it turns out they want their work by the end
of the day, well, or they wanted it yesterday, and it's the first time you're
hearing about that.
[03:00] So of course, you gotta bump that job up or something else happens.
[03:04] You gotta completely redo your schedule.
[03:06] Maybe you've already got it printed out.
[03:07] And that's kind of hard to pass along to everybody in your shop, especially if
you've got a bigger shop.
[03:12] So the priority model will give you that flexibility to reflect those changes in real
time.
[03:19] But anyway, ability to change around the order of the work in your shop is
super useful, and it helps the operators know what their date is gonna look like
as well.
[03:30] So, moving into Steelhead here.
[03:36] [opens Prioritization] All right, I'm gonna go into prioritization here.
[03:47] Sometimes it takes a little bit of time to load, but if you don't have
prioritization set up, this is what your prioritization is gonna look like.
[03:57] So you'll have to set that up first.
[03:59] [creates a new priority version] You'll click on this priority version, and you'll go ahead and give it a name,
new or something else.
[04:08] I currently have two set up.
[04:11] I have a shop schedule and a shop schedule number two. You can have as
many priority versions as you want.
[04:18] I guess just benefit of having two or more is if you need to reorder
jobs without making live changes.
[04:27] So if you have one set as your current, and then you have another schedule
that's completely different, maybe say you ran out of a certain color powder or an
oven's down or something, you need to make a different plan, or you need to
make some sort of reordering changes without having those reflected right then and there, you're
able to do that through a second version of your schedule.
[04:51] And you can always just set that as the current right there.
[04:56] But for this demo, I'm just gonna work off of our current version.
[05:03] All right. So I guess a couple things to note in here.
[05:07] First and foremost, we've got our prioritization table.
[05:11] [opens the prioritization table] So at the very top, we've got our global priorities, and then, of a number
one and all the way down our station priorities.
[05:21] In this table, we're able to sort ascending, or descending.
[05:25] So if you wanna alphabetize your stations, or just unselect that completely, and all of
these are able to be filtered that way.
[05:35] The green is just a signal of the ratio of parts that you have prioritized.
[05:41] So 67 out of 821, that's not a lot.
[05:44] So our green line's gonna be here, but if you have a hundred percent of
the parts in that certain station prioritized or globally, you're gonna see that green line
move all the way to the very end.
[05:57] You're also able to see the last edit, on that certain priority list and who
made those changes.
[06:05] So for this demo, that's gonna be me.
[06:07] But maybe you have a couple different schedulers in your shop.
[06:10] And for accountability purposes, this is necessary.
[06:15] So, I'm just going to go ahead and go through a couple of these things
here.
[06:21] [opens Workflow Control filter] Workflow control. So workflow control means that you can filter between certain tags if you
have tags set up through your processes.
[06:32] So let's say, I've got parts and I wanna only be able to see parts
from a certain tag through a certain tag, so it's gonna show the parts at
that tag, and all the way until the last tag you select.
[06:47] So maybe I wanna see all my parts in abrasion and all the way through
quality inspection, and so I can hit save and that's going to show me only
those parts.
[06:59] And so this filter is sticky.
[07:02] So if you wanted to go in here, order globally, order through stations, you're able
to see that.
[07:10] And if you don't have a certain filter selected, so, maybe it's not just abrasion,
maybe I wanna see all the parts from the very beginning of the process through
quality inspection.
[07:21] I'm able to do that as well.
[07:26] [enables Only Routed Parts] Only routed parts means that if you selected a station routing, either part number or
from the work order level, if you check this, that will only filter parts that
have been routed.
[07:41] I'm gonna take this off now.
[07:49] Alright, so some of you guys might only be able to see the global priorities
list.
[07:57] And you guys might not be able to select any stations here.
[08:01] This is because you don't have station prioritization set up.
[08:05] [sets a station as prioritized in Configuration] So if you go to your stations under configuration, you're able to set any of
the stations you have as prioritize.
[08:14] So for example, if I wanna be able to prioritize parts, that are going through
my small cabinet, you can check this box as prioritize.
[08:25] And then if you go back to prioritization, you're able to see parts in that
small cabinet and you're able to order those.
[08:39] [sets a deadline filter] You can also set a deadline filter.
[08:42] So if, for example, you wanna only see the parts, and work on the parts
that are due, you know, Friday and sooner, so 20th, 19th, 18th and and then
on, you're able to set a deadline.
[08:59] All right, I'm gonna go ahead and show you what this looks like underneath the
global priorities, and then we'll get into station priorities.
[09:07] [opens the global priorities list] So, and click on this.
[09:10] All right, so I guess first thing to note here, it's split into two columns.
[09:17] So work to be prioritized on the left and priority list on the right.
[09:23] And there's different sorting and filtering options to choose from along the top.
[09:28] So, we can go ahead and just try out a couple.
[09:32] [filters by customer] If I wanna only see parts from customer 3M I'm available to apply a filter
here, and you're only able to see those parts.
[09:42] These are stackable as well.
[09:44] So if you wanna not only see only the customer 3M but you wanna see
maybe all the parts that are going into your spray paint process, it's able to
apply as many of these filters as you'd like, to the jobs that have yet
to be prioritized.
[10:03] Another thing here is this search bar.
[10:06] So through the global priority list, you're able to search any of these columns from
part numbers through to customers.
[10:15] If you're trying to filter by a deadline, it's better if you just do it
up here.
[10:19] 'Cause this deadline filter's only gonna search that specific date.
[10:23] If you want all dates from, you know, tomorrow backdated, it would be better to
do it here.
[10:30] [searches by work order number] So for example, I can search up a specific work order number, 787, and it's
gonna search all of the numbers of 787.
[10:42] I can also search labels too.
[10:44] [searches by label] So, this'll be good for a lot of you guys that might have a labeling
for hot parts or rework parts, I'm able to search those so I can search
all of the parts, that have a rework label on them.
[10:58] And also it searches parts that have rework in the work order.
[11:03] Really anything from part number to customer, anything with this in the name.
[11:08] [drags condensed results into the priority list] So if I want to drag and drop all of these results all the way
to the global priority list, I can do so by hitting condensed results.
[11:22] And then I can go ahead and drag and drop those into our global priority
list.
[11:28] If you don't want to do that, you can just drag and drop individual ones
here.
[11:35] So anything that you wanna order, you can drag and drop in the specific order,
and it's going to give it a rank.
[11:42] So number one through, you know, however many parts you have waiting to be prioritized.
[11:49] But I'm gonna do the example where I hit condensed results and I'm gonna drag
them all the way to the end.
[11:58] As you can see, I've actually already ordered all of my parts with the label
hot.
[12:05] So it goes all the way from number one all the way down.
[12:10] And each part number is on its own rank.
[12:15] [opens Work Order view] Now, you can also go to this work order view.
[12:20] So the work order view is just gonna show you the rank and the work
order number.
[12:25] So like, for example, this work order 1938, it's gonna have rank number four and
number five.
[12:32] And I'm assuming it's because we have two different part numbers on this work order.
[12:37] And so you're able to see that as well if you like this view a
little bit better.
[12:42] [saves changes] All right, and so once you're happy with this, you can hit save changes and
this is gonna be visible on the work boards.
[12:53] So your changes are gonna be reflected, to your operators here.
[12:57] And just give you a little example and go to my work boards.
[13:02] [opens Work Boards] And, let's go to batch powder coating.
[13:05] I'm able to see, right here in the top left corner, a little number and
then the letter G for global.
[13:16] So these are all my global priorities in the order, in which we just ordered
them.
[13:23] So I don't know if it's kind of hard to see there, but it's a
little letter G.
[13:29] And we can see this throughout.
[13:31] So if I go to hanging, we're able to see other priorities here.
[13:37] So that's global priorities.
[13:40] I'm gonna go over some station priorities as well.
[13:45] So just a little thing to note as far as this station prioritization is going
to trump global prioritization.
[13:56] So if we have parts that are prioritized in stations, so like, for example, this
blast station, if I take a look at these parts, they're going to jump up
in priority, and they're gonna trump anything that we've prioritized globally.
[14:14] So, I'm just doing an example with that batch powder booth.
[14:18] I'm gonna stick with that. I'm going to go in here.
[14:22] [opens station-level prioritization for the batch powder booth] And for my work to be prioritized, I can go ahead and sort by, I
can sort by a node.
[14:33] So maybe I wanna be able to prioritize everything in the ready to powder coat
node.
[14:39] And maybe I'm doing this for, my light green treatment.
[14:45] So I'm gonna apply another filter here.
[14:48] I'm gonna condense my results and I'm gonna drag them into this batch powder booth
and I can reorder as soon as I've dragged them in.
[14:55] So maybe I wanna add a couple more here.
[14:59] And so this would be an example of you working through, you know, maybe a
daily priority.
[15:05] I wanna get all my light green jobs done and then maybe my John Deere
green, and if I have time left, I want, I wanna go into this Cadillac
gray or something like that.
[15:15] And so I can hit save changes here.
[15:19] [saves station priority changes] And for this station now, I'm able to see that reflected on the work boards.
[15:25] So if I go back to my batch powder coat batch powder coat, I can
see now that these jobs have jumped up and they've actually got a little S
for station next to them.
[15:35] So they've jumped up before the global priorities.
[15:40] So, we saw these last time as the top ones.
[15:43] But now since we've prioritized through station, we have these that are now higher than
the global priorities.
[15:54] Going back to prioritization here, and my batch powder booth, you'll also notice, that any
of these treatments in question, so, you know, red, yellow and anything like that, if
the part has been routed to a different station through station priorities, it's not gonna
appear on this work to be prioritized task list.
[16:24] So if a part's undergone a treatment that this batch powder booth provides, it's no
longer gonna appear.
[16:32] So the parts that have already gone and have been treated with these colors and
that maybe they're in inspection or ready to ship, we're not able to prioritize them
'cause they're outta the station.
[16:43] Also any parts that are not routed to this batch powder booth, you know, maybe
they get this powder yellow, but maybe they go to the batch powder booth number
two or number three.
[16:55] If they're specifically routed to a different station, we won't see those there.
[16:59] So, just to note that that's important because until we move the part out of
this station, until we finish that part, we can still prioritize it.
[17:09] So anything with powder in process in here, we can still prioritize that, through this
batch powder booth priority list.
[17:24] All right, we're kind of on minute, minute 20 here.

[17:35] Anything specific about prioritization, globally, stations, anything like that that you guys wanna hear from
and that I can answer?

[18:07] So let's say that someone went in and reprioritized, you know, some jobs and all
of a sudden the station leader says, whoa, whoa, whoa, we can't do that because
of whatever.
[18:22] Is there like a snapback feature or something that can get you back to where
you were before someone made those adjustments?
[18:33] That's a great question, Kevin.
[18:36] Off this certain prioritization list, there wouldn't be just a certain snapback.
[18:45] That's why we've got the accountability of, let me just share my screen again.
[18:55] So we've got the edited at and the edited by.
[18:59] So if it's something where, you know, maybe you've got a production team and then
a sales team trying to do both at the same time, you're able to see
certain people's edits, but there's not a cut and dry, let's, you know, take this
back there.
[19:17] I would suggest if there's something like that that's happening that there would be a
second version of this.
[19:26] Maybe you've got a production version and a sales version, and then you've got somebody
who's able to reconcile the two.
[19:33] Or just, I guess, certain things that we don't wanna make live or we don't
wanna make current, we do in that second version of the schedule or maybe a
different version.
[19:46] Because anything that we set on the current version is something that the operators will
be able to see.
[19:54] So that's, again, maybe something that we gotta take into account.
[19:59] Maybe somebody who shouldn't have access to that shouldn't have access to that.
[20:04] But that's a great question.
[20:07] I would just kind of make sure that what you have and what you order
is what you actually want, to be reflected on the work boards to your operators.
[20:18] Yeah, I mean the nice thing there is you can see who made those edits,
right?
[20:21] So if you have someone else who wants to make a change, I mean, you
can get with them and say, hey, should we really, can we, should we really
do this?
[20:28] Or we're running outta blue paint and maybe we should put these ones till tomorrow
until we get blue paint in and you know who to go talk to, which
is beautiful.
[20:36] It's right there in the system.

[21:09] So can you see, like from that prioritization, the list, would you be able to
see which ones they have started working on or do we always have to go
back to the work board to see if they're actually working on that?
[21:23] That's a great question.
[21:25] So I'm assuming you mean that the current node, that the parts are in where
they are on the shop floor?
[21:32] That is correct. Okay.
[21:34] Yeah, so you are able to see that.
[21:37] I'm just gonna continue with my batch powder booth example.
[21:41] So even though we're at the station batch powder booth, we also can see what
node the parts are in currently.
[21:50] So maybe the parts are routed to go to the batch powder booth, but they're
still at batch receiving.
[21:56] That's okay. We can still prioritize that work.
[21:59] So when it hits that batch powder booth, in which order do we actually wanna
process those parts?
[22:05] But we're able to, we're able to see that and we're able to filter by
the node as well.
[22:11] So not only can you do that, but also globally, it shows you the specific
process and the node.
[22:21] So if you wanna start working on, like for example, something that's, you know, ready
to go, you can filter by that node and then you can also, or sorry,
you can filter by that process and then you can also filter by a specific
node.
[22:38] So at any point, like, you know, some of these parts are just staged, and
some of these parts are all the way at quality inspection.
[22:46] So it gives you live results of where that part actually is in the shop.
[22:53] And then you can also prioritize accordingly.

[23:26] If something is never removed from work to be prioritized, it's never brought into the
global priority or station priority list, I'm assuming it's gonna default to being prioritized by
deadline.
[23:40] Is that accurate for the work board?
[23:43] Yep. Yep.
[23:44] So that's kind of like your lowest level of prioritization, it's gonna default by deadline.
[23:52] But then if you have anything in global or station prioritization, you're going to be
able to have that be bumped up.
[24:01] And that's a good point, Garrett.
[24:03] So as we are prioritizing, just hopping over to my global priorities organically, the work
you have in work to be prioritized is going to sort by deadline.
[24:16] So, this is kind of an older demo domain.
[24:20] So some of the work we have is a little backdated, you know, 2022, customer's
gonna be really mad at us.
[24:26] But we have deadlines here and then they're sorting from, you know, the quickest to
do.
[24:36] I'm not sure what our last deadline is, 12/31.
[24:39] So, some work that's still not, still not due.
[24:44] And then, we've got work that doesn't have a deadline.
[24:47] So even throughout the prioritization module, we can see the work that's sorted by deadline,
up at the very top.
[24:55] So, just to give you an example here, if I go to any station, maybe
just anodizing line, there's actually this little button here that says prioritize all, and you
can hit this and it's gonna take all of your work from work to be
prioritized into your priority list.
[25:13] And this will sort it by deadline for you unless, for some reason, you're gonna
wanna reorder that.
[25:21] So maybe this job goes up here and you wanna sort yourself from there.
[25:27] So just keep that in mind.
[25:29] Deadlines are still important and they're visible through prioritization as well.
[25:34] So it's as simple as click and drag up to move it.
[25:43] It's ordered top down and first one is, the first one the operator hits, right?
[25:48] I mean, simple as click and drag.
[25:51] Yep. It's pretty simple. That's amazing.
[25:54] So we've definitely made it simple for that reason.
[25:57] It's a really nice feature to use.
[26:00] So, just yeah, keep that in mind.
[26:03] You're able to hit that arrow and hit prioritize all.
[26:07] So if that's something that you wanted to take advantage of.
[26:11] Yeah, I would say anybody not using prioritization in your shop, it's definitely super simple
and super easy to do.
[26:19] Especially, even if you don't do it by station, maybe try out the global feature
and try sorting it by maybe the label or a certain thing that you wanna
sort it by.
[26:34] And not gonna do it for all 800 here.
[26:37] But you can hit the arrow and it's gonna drag it to the priority list
sorted by deadline.
[26:43] But if you have a specific job that you wanna kick up to the top
for some reason, you can always just drag and drop that.
[26:59] When you filter or rank prioritize per process and then you go to prioritize the
current node, let's say anything that proceeds at, whether it's like a mask and plug,
does that label show up on the work board for the prep and mask, or
only when it gets to that current node?
[27:19] I hope you understand the question.

we're able to see what's prioritized for our station.
[28:18] However, if we go back to, you know, for example, batch powder hang, so, we're
not able to see any of that station prioritization before it passes through the most
previous station.
[28:34] So maybe for some reason, you know, it gets racked and then it goes right
to our right to our batch powder booth station.
[28:41] Well, we have a racking prioritization, for our station, so we're able to see that.
[28:47] And then anything after racking, maybe, you know, gets hanged or prepped, we are not
able to see station prioritization until it hits that, ready for, and then it kicks
into effect.

[00:22] I'm a deployment leader at Steelhead Technologies, and I'm gonna be covering prioritization during our
half hour together here.
[00:31] First up on the agenda, I'm gonna talk about what the prioritization module is in
Steelhead and how it works.
[00:39] So how to set up your shop priority if it's not already set up, and
how to navigate some of the settings in there.
[00:47] Second, I'm just gonna show you station versus global priority.
[00:50] So there's a difference there and the use for each one.
[00:54] I'm also gonna touch on how jobs are ordered or ranked through dragging and dropping
them, and how that order is visible to the operators through their work boards.
[01:05] I'm also gonna touch on some of the tactics for ordering jobs, such as how
you can search it or filter it through some of things like deadlines or treatments.
[01:14] And then we're gonna leave about 10 minutes of room for questions at the end.
[01:18] And at that point, you can unmute yourself, ask as many questions as you want,
if you have any related to what I'm talking about before that or any during
the talk, please throw any of them in the chat.
[01:30] I'll try to monitor that as best as I can through my talk.
[01:34] But yeah, just shout out any remaining questions at the end and I'll answer those

[01:43] So the module in Steelhead of prioritization is all about giving you control of the
order of jobs in your shop.
[01:53] So the order in which jobs are to be processed.
[01:56] Once they're ordered through prioritization, your operators can then see that order on their work
boards so they have a clear schedule for the day.
[02:06] Many of you guys might have a daily or weekly meeting about priority jobs already
in your shop, so you'll just be able to add that order into the priority
model.
[02:18] But you probably don't have enough time to talk through the exact order of everything
on your floor.
[02:24] Maybe just the hot stuff, or the stuff you guys gotta pay special attention to,
something like that.
[02:30] But Steelhead prioritization lets you order every job on the floor, so as many as
you want, but up to every job at every part on the floor.
[02:39] So operators aren't just guessing on the order after they finish what they need to
for the day, or stuff like that.
[02:47] Then of course there's the case where maybe the order completely changes halfway through the
day.
[02:52] Maybe a customer calls and it turns out they want their work by the end
of the day, well, or they wanted it yesterday, and it's the first time you're
hearing about that.
[03:00] So of course, you gotta bump that job up or something else happens.
[03:04] You gotta completely redo your schedule.
[03:06] Maybe you've already got it printed out.
[03:07] And that's kind of hard to pass along to everybody in your shop, especially if
you've got a bigger shop.
[03:12] So the priority model will give you that flexibility to reflect those changes in real
time.
[03:19] But anyway, ability to change around the order of the work in your shop is
super useful, and it helps the operators know what their date is gonna look like
as well.
[03:30] So, moving into Steelhead here.
[03:36] [opens Prioritization] All right, I'm gonna go into prioritization here.
[03:47] Sometimes it takes a little bit of time to load, but if you don't have
prioritization set up, this is what your prioritization is gonna look like.
[03:57] So you'll have to set that up first.
[03:59] [creates a new priority version] You'll click on this priority version, and you'll go ahead and give it a name,
new or something else.
[04:08] I currently have two set up.
[04:11] I have a shop schedule and a shop schedule number two. You can have as
many priority versions as you want.
[04:18] I guess just benefit of having two or more is if you need to reorder
jobs without making live changes.
[04:27] So if you have one set as your current, and then you have another schedule
that's completely different, maybe say you ran out of a certain color powder or an
oven's down or something, you need to make a different plan, or you need to
make some sort of reordering changes without having those reflected right then and there, you're
able to do that through a second version of your schedule.
[04:51] And you can always just set that as the current right there.
[04:56] But for this demo, I'm just gonna work off of our current version.
[05:03] All right. So I guess a couple things to note in here.
[05:07] First and foremost, we've got our prioritization table.
[05:11] [opens the prioritization table] So at the very top, we've got our global priorities, and then, of a number
one and all the way down our station priorities.
[05:21] In this table, we're able to sort ascending, or descending.
[05:25] So if you wanna alphabetize your stations, or just unselect that completely, and all of
these are able to be filtered that way.
[05:35] The green is just a signal of the ratio of parts that you have prioritized.
[05:41] So 67 out of 821, that's not a lot.
[05:44] So our green line's gonna be here, but if you have a hundred percent of
the parts in that certain station prioritized or globally, you're gonna see that green line
move all the way to the very end.
[05:57] You're also able to see the last edit, on that certain priority list and who
made those changes.
[06:05] So for this demo, that's gonna be me.
[06:07] But maybe you have a couple different schedulers in your shop.
[06:10] And for accountability purposes, this is necessary.
[06:15] So, I'm just going to go ahead and go through a couple of these things
here.
[06:21] [opens Workflow Control filter] Workflow control. So workflow control means that you can filter between certain tags if you
have tags set up through your processes.
[06:32] So let's say, I've got parts and I wanna only be able to see parts
from a certain tag through a certain tag, so it's gonna show the parts at
that tag, and all the way until the last tag you select.
[06:47] So maybe I wanna see all my parts in abrasion and all the way through
quality inspection, and so I can hit save and that's going to show me only
those parts.
[06:59] And so this filter is sticky.
[07:02] So if you wanted to go in here, order globally, order through stations, you're able
to see that.
[07:10] And if you don't have a certain filter selected, so, maybe it's not just abrasion,
maybe I wanna see all the parts from the very beginning of the process through
quality inspection.
[07:21] I'm able to do that as well.
[07:26] [enables Only Routed Parts] Only routed parts means that if you selected a station routing, either part number or
from the work order level, if you check this, that will only filter parts that
have been routed.
[07:41] I'm gonna take this off now.
[07:49] Alright, so some of you guys might only be able to see the global priorities
list.
[07:57] And you guys might not be able to select any stations here.
[08:01] This is because you don't have station prioritization set up.
[08:05] [sets a station as prioritized in Configuration] So if you go to your stations under configuration, you're able to set any of
the stations you have as prioritize.
[08:14] So for example, if I wanna be able to prioritize parts, that are going through
my small cabinet, you can check this box as prioritize.
[08:25] And then if you go back to prioritization, you're able to see parts in that
small cabinet and you're able to order those.
[08:39] [sets a deadline filter] You can also set a deadline filter.
[08:42] So if, for example, you wanna only see the parts, and work on the parts
that are due, you know, Friday and sooner, so 20th, 19th, 18th and and then
on, you're able to set a deadline.
[08:59] All right, I'm gonna go ahead and show you what this looks like underneath the
global priorities, and then we'll get into station priorities.
[09:07] [opens the global priorities list] So, and click on this.
[09:10] All right, so I guess first thing to note here, it's split into two columns.
[09:17] So work to be prioritized on the left and priority list on the right.
[09:23] And there's different sorting and filtering options to choose from along the top.
[09:28] So, we can go ahead and just try out a couple.
[09:32] [filters by customer] If I wanna only see parts from customer 3M I'm available to apply a filter
here, and you're only able to see those parts.
[09:42] These are stackable as well.
[09:44] So if you wanna not only see only the customer 3M but you wanna see
maybe all the parts that are going into your spray paint process, it's able to
apply as many of these filters as you'd like, to the jobs that have yet
to be prioritized.
[10:03] Another thing here is this search bar.
[10:06] So through the global priority list, you're able to search any of these columns from
part numbers through to customers.
[10:15] If you're trying to filter by a deadline, it's better if you just do it
up here.
[10:19] 'Cause this deadline filter's only gonna search that specific date.
[10:23] If you want all dates from, you know, tomorrow backdated, it would be better to
do it here.
[10:30] [searches by work order number] So for example, I can search up a specific work order number, 787, and it's
gonna search all of the numbers of 787.
[10:42] I can also search labels too.
[10:44] [searches by label] So, this'll be good for a lot of you guys that might have a labeling
for hot parts or rework parts, I'm able to search those so I can search
all of the parts, that have a rework label on them.
[10:58] And also it searches parts that have rework in the work order.
[11:03] Really anything from part number to customer, anything with this in the name.
[11:08] [drags condensed results into the priority list] So if I want to drag and drop all of these results all the way
to the global priority list, I can do so by hitting condensed results.
[11:22] And then I can go ahead and drag and drop those into our global priority
list.
[11:28] If you don't want to do that, you can just drag and drop individual ones
here.
[11:35] So anything that you wanna order, you can drag and drop in the specific order,
and it's going to give it a rank.
[11:42] So number one through, you know, however many parts you have waiting to be prioritized.
[11:49] But I'm gonna do the example where I hit condensed results and I'm gonna drag
them all the way to the end.
[11:58] As you can see, I've actually already ordered all of my parts with the label
hot.
[12:05] So it goes all the way from number one all the way down.
[12:10] And each part number is on its own rank.
[12:15] [opens Work Order view] Now, you can also go to this work order view.
[12:20] So the work order view is just gonna show you the rank and the work
order number.
[12:25] So like, for example, this work order 1938, it's gonna have rank number four and
number five.
[12:32] And I'm assuming it's because we have two different part numbers on this work order.
[12:37] And so you're able to see that as well if you like this view a
little bit better.
[12:42] [saves changes] All right, and so once you're happy with this, you can hit save changes and
this is gonna be visible on the work boards.
[12:53] So your changes are gonna be reflected, to your operators here.
[12:57] And just give you a little example and go to my work boards.
[13:02] [opens Work Boards] And, let's go to batch powder coating.
[13:05] I'm able to see, right here in the top left corner, a little number and
then the letter G for global.
[13:16] So these are all my global priorities in the order, in which we just ordered
them.
[13:23] So I don't know if it's kind of hard to see there, but it's a
little letter G.
[13:29] And we can see this throughout.
[13:31] So if I go to hanging, we're able to see other priorities here.
[13:37] So that's global priorities.
[13:40] I'm gonna go over some station priorities as well.
[13:45] So just a little thing to note as far as this station prioritization is going
to trump global prioritization.
[13:56] So if we have parts that are prioritized in stations, so like, for example, this
blast station, if I take a look at these parts, they're going to jump up
in priority, and they're gonna trump anything that we've prioritized globally.
[14:14] So, I'm just doing an example with that batch powder booth.
[14:18] I'm gonna stick with that. I'm going to go in here.
[14:22] [opens station-level prioritization for the batch powder booth] And for my work to be prioritized, I can go ahead and sort by, I
can sort by a node.
[14:33] So maybe I wanna be able to prioritize everything in the ready to powder coat
node.
[14:39] And maybe I'm doing this for, my light green treatment.
[14:45] So I'm gonna apply another filter here.
[14:48] I'm gonna condense my results and I'm gonna drag them into this batch powder booth
and I can reorder as soon as I've dragged them in.
[14:55] So maybe I wanna add a couple more here.
[14:59] And so this would be an example of you working through, you know, maybe a
daily priority.
[15:05] I wanna get all my light green jobs done and then maybe my John Deere
green, and if I have time left, I want, I wanna go into this Cadillac
gray or something like that.
[15:15] And so I can hit save changes here.
[15:19] [saves station priority changes] And for this station now, I'm able to see that reflected on the work boards.
[15:25] So if I go back to my batch powder coat batch powder coat, I can
see now that these jobs have jumped up and they've actually got a little S
for station next to them.
[15:35] So they've jumped up before the global priorities.
[15:40] So, we saw these last time as the top ones.
[15:43] But now since we've prioritized through station, we have these that are now higher than
the global priorities.
[15:54] Going back to prioritization here, and my batch powder booth, you'll also notice, that any
of these treatments in question, so, you know, red, yellow and anything like that, if
the part has been routed to a different station through station priorities, it's not gonna
appear on this work to be prioritized task list.
[16:24] So if a part's undergone a treatment that this batch powder booth provides, it's no
longer gonna appear.
[16:32] So the parts that have already gone and have been treated with these colors and
that maybe they're in inspection or ready to ship, we're not able to prioritize them
'cause they're outta the station.
[16:43] Also any parts that are not routed to this batch powder booth, you know, maybe
they get this powder yellow, but maybe they go to the batch powder booth number
two or number three.
[16:55] If they're specifically routed to a different station, we won't see those there.
[16:59] So, just to note that that's important because until we move the part out of
this station, until we finish that part, we can still prioritize it.
[17:09] So anything with powder in process in here, we can still prioritize that, through this
batch powder booth priority list.
[17:24] All right, we're kind of on minute, minute 20 here.

of a sudden the station leader says, whoa, whoa, whoa, we can't do that because
of whatever.
[18:22] Is there like a snapback feature or something that can get you back to where
you were before someone made those adjustments?
[18:33] That's a great question, Kevin.
[18:36] Off this certain prioritization list, there wouldn't be just a certain snapback.
[18:45] That's why we've got the accountability of, let me just share my screen again.
[18:55] So we've got the edited at and the edited by.
[18:59] So if it's something where, you know, maybe you've got a production team and then
a sales team trying to do both at the same time, you're able to see
certain people's edits, but there's not a cut and dry, let's, you know, take this
back there.
[19:17] I would suggest if there's something like that that's happening that there would be a
second version of this.
[19:26] Maybe you've got a production version and a sales version, and then you've got somebody
who's able to reconcile the two.
[19:33] Or just, I guess, certain things that we don't wanna make live or we don't
wanna make current, we do in that second version of the schedule or maybe a
different version.
[19:46] Because anything that we set on the current version is something that the operators will
be able to see.
[19:54] So that's, again, maybe something that we gotta take into account.
[19:59] Maybe somebody who shouldn't have access to that shouldn't have access to that.
[20:04] But that's a great question.
[20:07] I would just kind of make sure that what you have and what you order
is what you actually want, to be reflected on the work boards to your operators.
[20:18] Yeah, I mean the nice thing there is you can see who made those edits,
right?
[20:21] So if you have someone else who wants to make a change, I mean, you
can get with them and say, hey, should we really, can we, should we really
do this?
[20:28] Or we're running outta blue paint and maybe we should put these ones till tomorrow
until we get blue paint in and you know who to go talk to, which
is beautiful.
[20:36] It's right there in the system.

process those parts?
[22:05] But we're able to, we're able to see that and we're able to filter by
the node as well.
[22:11] So not only can you do that, but also globally, it shows you the specific

[22:21] So if you wanna start working on, like for example, something that's, you know, ready
to go, you can filter by that node and then you can also, or sorry,
you can filter by that process and then you can also filter by a specific
node.
[22:38] So at any point, like, you know, some of these parts are just staged, and
some of these parts are all the way at quality inspection.
[22:46] So it gives you live results of where that part actually is in the shop.
[22:53] And then you can also prioritize accordingly.

[23:44] So that's kind of like your lowest level of prioritization, it's gonna default by deadline.
[23:52] But then if you have anything in global or station prioritization, you're going to be
able to have that be bumped up.

[24:03] So as we are prioritizing, just hopping over to my global priorities organically, the work
you have in work to be prioritized is going to sort by deadline.
[24:16] So, this is kind of an older demo domain.
[24:20] So some of the work we have is a little backdated, you know, 2022, customer's
gonna be really mad at us.
[24:26] But we have deadlines here and then they're sorting from, you know, the quickest to
do.
[24:36] I'm not sure what our last deadline is, 12/31.
[24:39] So, some work that's still not, still not due.
[24:44] And then, we've got work that doesn't have a deadline.
[24:47] So even throughout the prioritization module, we can see the work that's sorted by deadline,
up at the very top.
[24:55] So, just to give you an example here, if I go to any station, maybe
just anodizing line, there's actually this little button here that says prioritize all, and you
can hit this and it's gonna take all of your work from work to be
prioritized into your priority list.
[25:13] And this will sort it by deadline for you unless, for some reason, you're gonna
wanna reorder that.
[25:21] So maybe this job goes up here and you wanna sort yourself from there.
[25:27] So just keep that in mind.
[25:29] Deadlines are still important and they're visible through prioritization as well.
[25:34] So it's as simple as click and drag up to move it.
[25:43] It's ordered top down and first one is, the first one the operator hits, right?
[25:48] I mean, simple as click and drag.
[25:51] Yep. It's pretty simple. That's amazing.
[25:54] So we've definitely made it simple for that reason.
[25:57] It's a really nice feature to use.
[26:00] So, just yeah, keep that in mind.
[26:03] You're able to hit that arrow and hit prioritize all.
[26:07] So if that's something that you wanted to take advantage of.
[26:11] Yeah, I would say anybody not using prioritization in your shop, it's definitely super simple
and super easy to do.
[26:19] Especially, even if you don't do it by station, maybe try out the global feature
and try sorting it by maybe the label or a certain thing that you wanna
sort it by.
[26:34] And not gonna do it for all 800 here.
[26:37] But you can hit the arrow and it's gonna drag it to the priority list
sorted by deadline.
[26:43] But if you have a specific job that you wanna kick up to the top
for some reason, you can always just drag and drop that.
[26:59] When you filter or rank prioritize per process and then you go to prioritize the
current node, let's say anything that proceeds at, whether it's like a mask and plug,
