One-sentence answer:
Steelhead's Reporting module lets you build customizable dashboards with configurable chart views across Insights and Custom Reports so you can review production and sales data at a glance and make informed decisions without leaving the platform.
What this video covers:
This video walks through the Reporting module in Steelhead — from viewing and configuring Insight reports, to saving named configurations with default views, to building fully custom dashboards that pull charts from multiple reports into one screen. It also covers report permissions, chart type options, dashboard folders, the lock/unlock layout toggle, and custom tooltips for team usability.
Problem it solves:
If your production data is scattered across spreadsheets or siloed tools and you can't get a quick read on what's happening in your shop, you're making decisions without the full picture. Steelhead consolidates your reporting into one place and automatically collects the data so it's always ready when you are.

[00:00] Reporting and Insights in Steelhead can quickly give you valuable information on your company's production data. You can easily set up customized dashboards depending on your goals and needs. Then Steelhead automatically collects the critical data for you to easily review it at any time.
[00:16] [navigates to Steelhead homepage; clicks Reporting tile] From your Steelhead homepage, Insights and Reporting are consolidated into one dashboard. [View Reports page loads with left sidebar showing Dashboards, Insights, and Custom Reports sections] Here you can review reports, edit your reports, manage your databases, and change any settings within the Reports tab.
[00:30] [clicks into an Insight from the sidebar] Click into an Insight where you have your charts. You can configure them to your needs and save them to completely customizable dashboards, which I'll show you in a second.
[00:40] [points to permissions key on the report] Within each report, you'll see this key which gives you the ability to control who has permissions to see a given report. In order to have access to change these permissions, a user must have the right Reporting permission and every selected permission that you add enabled in order to view this given report.
[00:55] [clicks Configure Columns] You can click Configure to customize these charts — [drags year/month column] just click and drag. For example, year/month will split by, then just deselect it here to pull something out of the chart. [changes chart type from dropdown] You can also change the type here; you have all these different options to choose from.
[01:12] [closes configuration popover; clicks Save] Close the configuration box and click Save. [Save dialog opens; types configuration name; clicks Save as new] You can enter a configuration name and save it as new. [switches between configurations in dropdown] Now you can switch between each of those configurations [clicks star icon] and set one as the default view by clicking the star.
[01:28] You can also create and customize dashboards and put different charts from various reports into any dashboards that you create. [clicks Create Dashboard icon in sidebar; types dashboard name] Just click the new dashboard icon, give your dashboard a name, [creates another dashboard] then add another one here for processed parts. [clicks Create Dashboard Folder; types folder name] You can put them into a folder, give your folder a name, [drags dashboards into folder] and click and drag to get these dashboards into the folder.
[01:48] [clicks Add to Dashboards icon on a chart configuration; selects a dashboard from the list] Now you can take this chart configuration, click the Add to Dashboards icon, and select any dashboard you'd like to add it to. [navigates to another chart; clicks Add to Dashboards; selects same dashboard] Let's also add this chart to that same dashboard.
[01:58] [opens the dashboard from the sidebar] Now we'll go into that dashboard [clicks Unlock dashboard toggle] using the lock/unlock toggle. You can make any changes here — [points to Clear Layout and Reset Layout buttons] you can also clear the layout or reset it. [drags chart edge to resize; drags chart to reposition] Just click and drag to resize your charts; you can reorganize them, [clicks Save] click Save, [clicks Lock dashboard toggle] then lock it again.
[02:16] [opens configuration dropdown on a dashboard chart; sets a favorite] You also have the option to save a specific configuration as the default for this dashboard specifically. This won't affect the default that you have selected within the report page itself that I showed you previously.
[02:24] [clicks About on a report; edits description] Within each custom report as well as on the dashboards views, you can add a custom tooltip for others to more easily understand and use each report. [clicks Show/Hide toggle for configurations] You can show or hide configurations with this toggle.
[02:35] We hope this helps you quickly and easily organize your company data so that you can gain insight into what's happening in your shop and make informed decisions that move you towards your goals.
